10-Legged Ho Machine Danity Kane Now 8-Legged Ho Machine: Listen To "Bye Baby"

NOTE: I haven't posted a Pop Conspiracy post since 2008, but no time like the present to get back to cheap glamour, gang.

Revered music legends Danity Kane, affectionately known at one time around these parts as Caterpussy aka 10-Legged Ho Machine, are back — minus two legs and one pussy — to breathe new life into Art and Pop, and have offered up this world-altering new future smash called "Bye Baby."

It's actually not bad, but it's giving me major shades of (get ready for an obscure reference) Hear'Say's #6-charting, career-killing UK flop "Lovin' Is Easy" from 2002.

I think it's just that funky, disco-y guitar vibe underneath a similar vocal melody in both songs. Am I nuts for thinking these tracks sound alike?

Yeah, I hear some similarities. But they both strike me as boring and generic. The "Hear" one really hit #6 long ago in the UK? Oh well, who knows what people of the future will think when they are told Psy's "Gentlemen" hit #5. Or Harlem Shake #1 for that matter.
