US Chart Roundup: Dark Princess Katy Perry's 32-Week Reign Of Chart-Topping Terror

With three weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, "Dark Horse" now boasts one of Katy Perry's lengthier stints at #1. The broad has nine singles that have climbed to the peak position on the chart, but with "Roar" having spent two weeks at #1, "Part Of Me" racking up one week and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" also having done a two-week stay, we have to go back to "E.T." in 2011 to find her last single that spent a longer period at the top (five non-consecutive weeks).

The breakdown is as follows (and you can tell what a boring chart week it is if I'm bothering to type out this trash):

1. "I Kissed A Girl", 2008 (seven weeks)
2. "California Gurls", 2010 (six weeks)
3. "Teenage Dream", 2010 (two weeks)
4. "Firework", 2010-11 (four weeks)
5. "E.T.", 2011 (five weeks)
6. "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)", 2011 (two weeks)
7. "Part Of Me", 2012 (one week)
8. "Roar", 2013 (two weeks)
9. "Dark Horse", 2014 (three weeks so far)

And that, folks, is fascinating.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Dark Horse" - Katy Perry feat. Juicy J *3 weeks*
2. "Happy" - Pharrell Williams
3. "Talk Dirty" - Jason Derulo feat. 2 Chainz
4. "Say Something" - A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera
5. "Let Her Go" - Passenger
6. "Timber" - Pitbull feat. Ke$ha
7. "Counting Stars" - OneRepublic
8. "Drunk In Love" - Beyonce feat. Jay Z
9. "Team" - Lorde
10. "Pompeii" - Bastille
