UK Chart Roundup: George Michael Cock-Blocks Kylie's 'Kiss Me Once' On The Album Chart

George Michael's Symphonica wins the UK album chart race against Kylie Minogue's Kiss Me Once, causing the "Sexercize" butt bouncer to go in at #2. This gives George his seventh trip to the top of the album chart in his home country, and Kylie her third LP to reach #2 (after Light Years in 2000 and The Abbey Road Sessions in 2012).

Kylie has had five albums reach #1 in the UK: Kylie (1988), Enjoy Yourself (1989), Greatest Hits (1992), Fever (2001) and Aphrodite (2010). The rest of her studio album chart positions break down as follows:

Rhythm Of Love (1990), #9
Let's Get To It (1991), #15
Kylie Minogue (1994), #4
Impossible Princess (1997), #10
Light Years (2000), #2
Body Language (2003), #6
X (2007), #4
Kiss Me Once (2014), #2

Over on the singles chart, Kylie's "Into The Blue" drops from #12 to #31 in its second week (Eeeeek!), while Duke Dumont scores his second #1, with "I Got U."
