I'd been wondering if Giorgio Moroder
would make much of a musical comeback outside of his feature on the Daft Punk
album last year, because, quite frankly, the odd remix he'd done here and there wasn't really catching my ear. Then he went and whipped Coldplay
's "Midnight" into a near-nine-minute masterpiece, with swelling synths, majestic piano chords and a classic, sneaky disco beat.
It's pretty perfect.
