UK Chart Roundup: Ben Haenow Is The Umpteenth 'X Factor' Winner To Have A Christmas #1

No surprise here: Ben Haenow, winner of the 11th season of The X Factor, goes straight to #1 with his completely riveting cover of OneRepublic's "Something I Need"! Just kidding — the song is shit. But hey, here's a big of a flashback: Remember when Leona Lewis won X Factor in 2006 and topped the UK chart eight years ago this week with her blasé as fuck cover of Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This"? She then went on to record her first proper single "Bleeding Love" later in 2007...so you see, it all comes back to Ryan Tedder.

Elsewhere, Gorgon City debut at #14 with their Jennifer Hudson-featuring Sirens highlight, "Go All Night." It marks the house duo's fourth Top 20 hit in the UK, after "Ready For You Love" (#4), "Here For You" (#7) and "Unmissable" (#19).

"Go All Night" is quite a jam, no?
